Dr Angela Boodhooa is a Specialist Periodontist who works at Surbiton Dental. She loves the teamwork and positive environment at her workplace and is constantly amazed by the talent of her colleagues.
One of the most common questions patients ask her is whether or not they will lose their teeth. Her focus is saving teeth!
Angela grew up in West Sussex and attended King’s College University, where she completed a research project on smoking and periodontal disease – during her BSc. This experience unearthed a keen interest in periodontology and immunology, which she furthered with a Master’s Degree in Immunology before studying dentistry. This has provided her with advanced knowledge of disease and inflammation – which she uses to help her patients maintain healthy smiles for life!
She is a highly accomplished and respected dental surgeon. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, as well as a joint member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and the Faculty of General Dental Practice of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Her daughter is her inspiration – she wants her to be proud of her mum no matter what. Her favourite books include Superior by Angela Saini and Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman.
The three traits that define her are her integrity, challenge and performance.
